The Kentisbury Grange Hotel is hosting a special evening of murder and mystery, set against the haunting landscape of Exmoor National Park.
Following our recent trip through Devon, stopping off at Michael Caines' fabulous restaurant The Coach House (see my review with loads of pics here) I'm excited to announce a fantastic upcoming event.
The threat of the yearly tacky-fest that is today's modern (American) Halloween holiday looms with more ghostly ghouls than an episode of Scooby Do.
So this year I'm gripped by the opportunity to class it up at one of the best luxury hotels, with dinner under super-chef Michael Caines' direction, and a team of professional actors weaving a gripping story designed to release my inner detective. Being a big fan of crime dramas I'm looking forward to it seeing the team do their thing.
Kentisbury Grange's elegantly refurbished interior (by designer Karen Gray), will be transformed into the chilling scene of a murder.
The restored Victorian manor house is itself a Grade II listed building and with it's wooden floors and period pieces looks to be the ideal setting for a who-done-it!
There will be canapés and champagne in the hotel lounge as the scene is set – but which of your fellow guests has murder on their mind?
The evening continues in The Coach House by Michael Caines as you settle down to a delicious three-course meal, throughout which you’ll be invited to examine the evidence and investigate the suspicious and potentially murderous characters that surround you.
Definitely something I'd recommend purely on the strength of my last stay there and the food, but with entertainment too it looks to be a very worthwhile trip.

£345 per couple, including:

Full weekend £525 the above plus:
